Hey everyone.
I have realized you can't post to my blog...but you can leave comments. Please write ANYTHING you like about acts of kindness: like what you have done, what you think about them, what you have seen, what I have done and my project, by leaving a comment under one of my posts. Your comments do not just have to be about my acts of kindness and what I have done or that specific post of mine.
I would love to and need to hear from as many people as possible on anything related to my project for it to be successful! Thank you so much. Can't wait to hear what you have to say and what you have exerienced as well.

u should really watch the movie "pay it forward" it has to do all about sharing kindness. its sad too tho
when i was in college, there was a big blizzard! there was so much snow, you couldn't even see the cars parked on the street. one day i was walking back to my apartment after class, and i saw an elderly man get off a bus. he was walking with a cane, and the streets were icy. when he came to the curb, i saw that he was going to have a lot of trouble lifting his foot up onto the sidewalk. i quickly stepped over to him and asked him, "is it okay if i help you?" he said, "oh, yes!" so i grabbed his elbow and helped him onto the sidewalk. he was very grateful, and i felt terrific. you can tell how good it made me feel--that tiny little gesture--because i still remember it 30 years later!
In the washrooms where I work, they have installed 'motion activated' paper towel dispensers -- you wave at the thing and it rolls out some towel, likely a measure from the management to reduce paper towel usage. I found that if you wave as you're leaving, it will roll out some towel for the next person to use! I'd guess the management may frown on this act, being that usage will not be reduced, but I've always fancied myself a renegade and any small act will do. I may not remember these acts 30 years from now, they're not precisely random and not exactly kind, but I smile when I imagine the next person thinking: "oh! A paper towel, ready and waiting for me"
What you're doing is great! Doesn't it just become second nature to do kind things? After a while you don't even think of them as random acts of kindness, they're just part of who you are and what you do. It becomes contagious...so thanks for making the world a better place, one act at a time!
When I was going to a Sox game I found five bucks on the street and felt so happy because I rarely have money and could probably spend it on hot dogs. There were a ton of homeless people near the train by the stadium and I decided to give my money to one of them. I thought to myself, if I hadn't found the money, would I still have given him five bucks?
At panera they always give you SO much extra bread... I saved mine and gave it to the homeless man who is always walking down there by the library. Ever since then, whenever I go to Panera I always save my bread because the look on his face is unforgettable.
